Why do I need a PCR Test in Redditch, Wirral & Middlesbrough?
Further to the release of the Government’s red, amber and green travel lists, regulations may vary between airlines and countries. Therefore, we advise that you visit the Government and Foreign Office Websites for guidance well in advance of your travel. Moreover, we recommend that you book in with us as soon as you can, so that you don’t get caught out before your flight.
What are the Government travel lists?
If you are unfamiliar with what each travel list entails, don’t worry – we have included the definitions below to keep you informed:
Red List
You should not travel to these territories or countries. If you are arriving into the UK from a red list country, you must take a Covid test, as well as booking your quarantine hotel package. This is where you will complete your mandatory isolation period upon your return. You are also required to book two Covid tests, to be taken on day 2 and day 8 of your isolation; you must also fill out a passenger locator form.
Amber List
You should also not travel to these countries or territories. If you are returning to the UK from an amber list country, you must take a Covid test. You are also required to book your day 2 and day 8 travel tests for your return, as well as filling out your passenger locator form. On arrival, you must isolate at home or within a single location for 10 days, as well as taking your day 2 and day 8 tests.
Green List
If you are looking to jet off on your holidays, travel to countries on the green list is permitted. Before you travel back to the UK, you must take a Covid test, as well as booking your day 2 test in advance. You are also required to fill out a passenger locator form, however you do not need to isolate.
Our Covid PCR Tests
Our PCR tests are fully UKAS accredited; they are provided by RT Diagnostics, including a Fit to Fly Certificate for peace of mind. Moreover, the tests can be used not only for Fit to Fly requirements, but also for Day 2 and Day 8 testing and Day 5 Test to Release testing. This means that we can ensure that you have everything you need along every step of your journey.
The test itself comes in the form of a home testing kit. It involves a swab of both of your tonsils, or where they would ordinarily be, as well as one nostril. Your kit will contain all of the information required to carry out the test. However, we have also included the helpful video guide above to help demonstrate the testing procedure.
Our PCR tests come with pre-paid Royal Mail 24 hour track labels, for your peace of mind. Following the lab’s receipt of your sample, you will receive your results and subsequent Fit to Fly Certificate via email within 24-48 hours maximum. Our efficient results turnaround, as well as our accessible pricing at well below market value, means that we can take the stress out of your holiday.
