Here at Knights Pharmacy, it is our passion to make healthcare accessible to all. That’s why this Carers Week, we are highlighting our range of accessible services tailored to your individual needs. We offer services such as Domiciliary Support in Redditch, Wirral & Middlesbrough to bring our Pharmacy straight to the door of those who need us the most.
What is Carers Week?
Carers Week takes place between the 7th and 13th June; it represents a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness for unpaid carers. Moreover, it provides an opportunity to recognise their contribution to families and communities across the UK, as well as helping people to identify as carers who may not have previously identified themselves to have caring responsibilities. This allows them to access the support they need.
How can I get involved in Carers Week?
If you have experience with Caring, or would like to get involved, here are some of the ways that you can contribute this week:
- Add your voice to the Carers Week wall and join the campaign to make caring valued and visible
- Find an activity near you to get involved in, or register your own
Moreover, if you are someone who is living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a friend or a family member, you should not be afraid to reach out if you need support. We have included the following resources for further guidance, if you need it:
- Find support in your area with Carers Trust
- Mental Health Support for Carers from Rethink Mental Illness
- Carers UK local support and guidance directory
How can we help bring the Pharmacy to you?
Our main priority is making healthcare accessible to all, thereby ensuring that all members of our community, especially those who are the most vulnerable, get the support they need. That’s why we offer a range of services to make your life easier for you.
Domiciliary Support
For those who are unable to get out, we offer Domiciliary Support in Redditch, Wirral & Middlesbrough to provide the highest possible quality of care from the comfort of your own home. We offer you the opportunity to review your medications, facilitating regular check-ins to determine whether your current prescriptions are working for you. Moreover, we offer a monitored dosage system to ensure that your prescriptions can be easily managed. The pre-emptive daily organisation of your medication means that there is no need to remember your daily dosage; you can instead use the organisation trays to track what you have taken. We are looking to form a relationship with care homes, residential homes and nursing homes to make your lives easier for you.
